The Ministry of Music has an essential role in the overall worship services of the Church. Its initial goal is to praise God through expressions and impressions of music. This ministry, headed by a Minister of Music, is composed of five choirs:
The Voices of Praise Choir furnishes music for 10:30 a.m. worship services on the seconds and fourth Sunday, and as deemed necessary for other occasions. Rehearsals are set for 7:00 p.m. every Monday except the Monday which precedes Church Conference, and at 4:00 p.m. the second and fourth Saturday.
The Inspirational Choir offers songs of praise on the first and third Sunday, or as deemed necessary by other engagements. Rehearsals are every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. except the Monday preceding Church Conference, and the first and third Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
The Brotherhood Chorus consists of spiritually motivated men of all age groups. It serves on a rotational basis for Sunday morning services. The rehearsal time is 7:00 p.m. every Thursday night, except the Thursday following the Sunday that they sing.
The Youth Choir is the most recent addition to the Ministry of Music. It was created in view of a dire need to involve our teens in some aspects of Christian growth and fellowship. They sing praises unto the Lord every third and fifth Sunday. Rehearsals are scheduled for every first and third Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
The Children's Choir is made up of those little souls who have a mind and heart to strive in musical development. This choir sings praises each fourth Sunday and has a maximum age of eleven years. Rehearsals are every second and third Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. as well as each Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
This ministry is designed to develop the musical concepts of youth in the church. Those who possess a talent in playing and/or composing music are urged to participate in this ministry.
